There are a small number of other data points captured when you enable SDKs, send messages, enable location services etc. These and any another data not covered in the other articles in the user profiles, and device profiles sections are detailed here.
Session Data
Mobile
When you enable the Mobile SDKs App Open times and session duration are recorded by default. This is use to show engagement stats in analytics.
And also to segment users based on recency and frequency of interactions with the App. Details on segmentation based on app usage can be found here:
Messaging Data
When you send messages on any channel where possible the following data is gathered to track performance:
- Sent
- Delivered
- Opened
- Clicks on any links/CTAs - e.g. links in emails, CTA buttons on In App Messages
This data is used on Campaign Statistics to show the performance of campaigns:
And also in segmentation to allow you to segment users based on interactions with previous campaigns.
Location Data
Mobile
When you enable the location services of the Mobile SDKs timestamped interactions with any geo-fences and iBeacons you add on the platform are recorded.
Recorded interactions are:
- Entry and Exit into geo-fenced regions
- Entry and Exit into regions with iBeacons
This data is used in Location Statistics to show trends.
And also in segmentation to allow you to segment users based on past interactions with locations.
And a single GPS co-ordinate is stored to maintain the last known location of the device. This data point is not visible any where on the platform but is it is used in the Last Known Location feature of segmentation. Details on segmentation based on last know location can be found here:
